Pretty good musically for the rest of Part I. I didn't realize that a day out at golf was the main inspiration for Sargent's An Impression on a Windy Day, but I should have guessed, perhaps. MS's work is perhaps larded with orchestral cliches about wind and storms, but it's very well put together and quite entertaining. Finlandia was very well done indeed, both from orchestra and choir. The Wagner was good, an OK contribution from Nina Stemme, not stellar, but good enough, IMHO.
Nice to hear Petroc chatting now with Harold Beck, recalling his early Promming days back to 1937. If I heard things correctly, he said that he was 13 in 1937. There's a picture of Mr. Beck with Petroc on Twitter:

What would you say are the principal differences between "Operetta" and "Musical", incidentally?

Very much enjoyed the Kodaly Budavari Te Deum which I've not heard before but the only recording I can find is this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kod%C3%A1ly...eywords=kodaly
Presumably, it's self-recommending in view of the artists and label but has anyone heard it?"The sound is the handwriting of the conductor" - Bernard Haitink
