I could convert the recordings I have to XP and burn to DVDs, but I don't have enough space on the hard disc/Blu-ray recorder to do the processing at the moment. I can make some room over the next few days, however.
That would be enormously kind, Bryn. Whenever you have time.

Thanks Bryn, saving my bacon once again. Let me know if you no longer have my details and will forward them on.

Yes, I forgot to set the Humax to record it as well. Luckily the custom software I use on the Humax HDR Fox T2 enables it to record the iPlayer HD, not as good as the original broadcast but it will have to do.

I thought the camera work was excellent. Certainly much better than both Elgar symphony concerts and the first night.

Isabelle Faust's skirt was a work of art in itself.

Rather relieved to see that I'm not the only sufferer from 'senior moment syndrome' but as I was at the concert and had been looking forward to the TV relay since it's impossible to forgive myself such a lapse.

Couldn't really see it from the back of the arena on the night. It was quite something, wasn't it ? Bet it cost a few bob.

When I saw her at the Anvil playing the Mendelssohn she wore a striking and stylish long coat style outfit. I have no other way of describing it !!

But what was the image on it? Could anyone make it out?

Well I thought it might have been a map of some sort (!!).......if that doesn't sound too daft.

Nor could I, but looking at a close-up from the broadcast it looks like some sort of Italian (?) palazzo with a garden, steps, and trees. Not very helpful, I'm afraid!

Inc. a stone balustrade, classical temple.....a generic late 18thC classical garden scene. That's as close as we're likely to get. I tried googling "Isabelle Faust Proms skirt" but couldn't find any fashion info.

These boards never cease to amaze me - has celebrity culture taken over - lines and lines seem to be written berating a certain female announcer and now on fashion style of a female violinist - and there I was thinking this site was about Radio 3 and serious music matters.
NB particularly that this should happen on a thread headed up under the name of the much revered St (Uncle Bernie) Bernard.
