I see that the West Eastern Divan Orchestra and Barenboim and Argerich are playing this programme in Lucerne in the orchestra . As the orchestra has become rather a fixture at the Proms I hope they bring this to the RAH
Ravel, Ma mère l'Oye (version for orchestra)
Shostakovich, Piano Concerto no. 1 in C minor for piano, trumpet and string orchestra, Op.35
Ravel, Le Tombeau de Couperin (version for orchestra)
Berg, Three Pieces for Orchestra, Op.6

I see there is a Bergen/Ed Gardner Concert performance of Peter Grimes at Edinburgh - likely to appear the the Proms? (If so, on that date I'll probably be nearer to Edinburgh than London). No doubt close examination of other performers visiting the UK for Edinburgh could fuel similar speculation.... (however, its Saturday morning and there are things to get on with....)
