Wish Sakari would not channel Isadora Duncan with that green thing round his neck...

You mean let's have 'Strictly Come Dancing for Wrinklies' Prom?

The Dove piece was one where the lyrics cruelly exposed the music and Javelin was tosh .

Such an unsatisfactory programme apart from Flores until we arrive at VW

In my book, it made no mention of 'Javelin' but promised a 'Latin American medley' after the RVW.

The Serenade To Music was really beautifully sung. According to wiki Rachmaninoff weptat the first performance - having played the Second Piano Concerto in the first half. That must have been some concert....

Well, there was certainly no 'nasty surprise' with the VW 'Serenade to Music' which was beautifully performed. It was was a lovely touch that each and every one of the 'hand-picked selection of young singers' sang at least one line. Maybe I missed the introduction but it would have been nice to know who these young singers were...

Claire Barnett-Jones, Marta Fontanals-Simmons, Anna Harvey, Katie Stevenson (mezzo-sopranos)
Trystan Llyr Griffiths, Oliver Johnston, Joshua Owen Mills, James Way (tenors)
Bragi Jónsson, Benjamin Lewis, James Newby, Bradley Travis (basses)

The most beautiful piece of RVW. How I loved studying it for 'O' level...
