    Well, yes - but isn't that what you meant when you said He was said to have been the son of Belus or Bel, a name that may represent a Semitic title such as Ba'al, "lord"; which is the comment to which vinty replied when he used the expression "the god"? (That's how I understood his emboldening of your text in his #26.)

      The text in my post wasn't mine, it was wiki's - and I emboldened it myself to draw attention to the information that Ninus was descended from Baal - which didn't necessarily mean that Azema was Ninus' daughter, but it was a possibility.
