    Having heard this, I have to fall back on my first post in this thread and I have to say that this was one of the life changing events that a listener has about a composer. The only other conductor that has done for me, was Claudio Abbado.

      Lucy Crowe is a terrifically versatile singer too - a couple of years back she was a fine Gilda deputising late on in the ROH's Rigoletto - a real flesh and blood Gilda rather than a sacrificial lamb .
