Re. the non-classical Proms: To me, it doesn't feel like last year, where they were being deliberately provocative with it. ("We're playing Ibiza music; go stuff yourself!" was very much the approach) Bowie was certainly on the artsier end of the pop spectrum, and the others are more traditional dance music (Strictly) and jazz (Cullum, Jones etc.), which, we must remember, Radio 3 cover as well. So I'm not too bothered by those concerts this year.Comment
