It will be the 150th anniversary of the birth of Erik Satie so his music should feature. Perhaps Mercure which has only featured once before in the Proms (arranged by Birtwistle), and of course his piano works.
    Pacta sunt servanda !!!

... I think it would be wonderful to have a year without any Proms.

Those who find them tiresome would be happy.

Those who relish them would enjoy them all the more after a year's forced abstinence.

A possibility that has occurred to me a few times, too - except that I'd make it a ten-year break. And then a complete revamp, reassessing what made the Proms so fantastic until about fifteen years ago and building from those ideas into fresh and exciting new territory.

The problem is, with the current drain of knowledge and expertise, who would be still around?

And while they're about it, put some seating in that empty space in the middle.

I wish Warner Classics would release Tippett's 'The Mask Of Time'.

what do we really mean by "Wrong" , anyway?

( ask Ferney, but be warned, he is unforgiving in these matters though....)

As I've said before, a Proms season consisting entirely of works NEVER performed at the Proms before. More Ibiza-type Proms, Radio 1 proms etc. 10% new commissions

                                That wouldn't.

You mean 10% of the total number of works performed in the next season? Much wold then depend upon the duration of some of those other works in terms of how many pieces are to be commissioned!
