Welsh operatic soprano Rebecca Evans, West End singing star John Owen-Jones and BBC Young Musician 2014 Jazz Award winner, saxophonist Alexander Bone will perform with the BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales, led by conductor Gareth Jones.
Presenting on the night are Alex Jones and Tim Rhys-Evans of Only Men Aloud fame who will host what promises to be a spectacular evening supported by the City and County of Swansea.
The event in Swansea is part of the UK-wide celebrations of the Last Night of the Proms, which radiates out from the Royal Albert Hall to embrace all four nations of the UK on Saturday 12 September, with Last Night events in Hyde Park, London, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The BBC Proms is the world’s largest classical music festival, with 92 events in 2015 across eight weeks.
Advance ticket prices are £10 for adults during the month of July increasing to £12 on August 1 until the day before the event and £15 on the day. Accompanied children 12 and under are free.
Proms goers can also capture the atmosphere from the comfort of their own home, with live coverage from Singleton Park on BBC Radio Wales or on iPlayer via bbc.co.uk./radiowales.
