    Join in the Last Night of the Proms celebrations in Hyde Park, hosted by Proms in the Park stalwart Sir Terry Wogan. The open-air concert features a host of musical stars, including Proms in the Park favourites the BBC Concert Orchestra under the baton of Richard Balcombe, and special guests soprano Danielle de Niese, Caro Emerald, trumpeter Alison Balsom, tenor Russell Watson and Motown and disco superstars The Jacksons.
    Presenter Tony Blackburn joins us again to get this year’s party under way, introducing a range of artists, including The Mavericks, Beverley Knight, Matt Cardle and the West End cast of Memphis The Musical.

    Of all the Proms in the Park, I always feel the London one is by far the "worst" in that it's increasingly becoming yet another "pop concert"

      Pop concerts are quite good, however. So too are Prom concerts.

          As I asked in the Glasgow post, does anyone know what happened to the Manchester/ Salford Prom in the Park featuring the BBC Phil? My partner and I used to enjoy these but it's been a few years since the last one!
