Thoroughly enjoyed this. He made the Willis sound like a Wurlitzer at times. He got registrations that I'd not heard before on that organ. The improvisations had great colour and flair. CC indicated that they were both from the St Matthew Passion but I thought the first theme was the final chorus of the St John. Great entertainment.

Marvelous stuff indeed.
Is Mendelssohn's organ music,especially the sonatas,underrated ?
Well it doesn't seem to feature very often on the radio or in recital,which IMO is a pity.
The opening bar of the gorgeous andante tranquillo (song without words) of the A Major was almost ruined by the happy clappers.
