Given some of her comments, might that make her a pole-dancer?

ahem ... so we're all "super-nerds" are we

As if we had time to waste criticising the Proms programmes - the presumption of the woman!

So did I, and I too thought it read like a script for WIA (Pabs - a TV satire about the inner workings of the BBC starring Hugh Bonneville and co which some say would be funny if it wasn't so close to the real thing).

            I read it too...and responded, albeit non-verbally!

Adcarp - I did notice, Honestly

It's just that lately I've posted quite a lot that attracts no comment, and I'm getting paranoid.

                There's no volume with Klein?

Actually, I thought it was awesome. Any response of mine would have seemed trivial, - indeed inadequate.

Who knows? She might even harbour aspirations to present something along these lines herself. However, given the work first mentioned in this clip, the fondest "farewell" might seem to be to Ms Klein as she glides across to R4 as its Balearics corespondent, as I suggested earlier.

It occurs to me that the purpose of the symbol that the presenter on the clip takes to be a hashtag is to raise the tone (well, by a semitone, anyway) which, on the evidence of her remarks, is hardly something with which the egregious Boozy Suzy of Ibiza Ether notoriety could credibly be credited, methinks...

See http://westlondonmum.co.uk/at-home-w...d-broadcaster/ (if you can bear to); in this, the reader might be interested in her answer to the question "Career and children – top tip on how do you do it?", namely "Learn to cope with being a failure! It’s been a bitter pill to swallow, but I am (slowly) getting used to the idea that I can’t be 100% great at my job, being a wife and mum, and still keep up with friends and family. Some days you have to accept 'good enough'". So it's mainly her family's fault that not only she but her listeners and readers "have to accept 'good enough'" (even when it obviously isn't).

                          Mon Dieu!...

There's one that could benefit from being turned down, perhaps...

Abso-blooming-lutely. I was a bit late cottoning on to that this time Most unlikely that the BBC news website picked up on this 'story' unless diligent press officers fed it to them.

As for Glasto playing Steve Reich last year (along with a couple of other concerts in the past 10 years), that hardly compares with in-yer-face pop concerts with in-yer-face-stars for several Proms concerts every year lately.

But if they knock Radio 3's listening figures (as happened last year) maybe the new management will overrule the Metropolitan middle-youth morotocracy [sic].
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
