I'm suspicious of any Prom that has "vocalists".

I notice Andrew McGregor has the unenviable task of presenting these other-BBC-channels late night Proms.

      But there's already a presenter on-stage.

Bobby Friction will be presenting it for the Asian Network listeners. Andrew is only presenting it for Radio 3 listeners :-) . For the Urban Classic Prom they had R3 presenters on stage, but they were cut out of the televised broadcast.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

They look rather like the "boxes" in the RAH.

I'm surprised to have found this concert going out live on the TV on the BBC Red Button... Not unpleasant late night listening while replying to a rather bulging R3 Forum PM mailbag...!
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Palak Muchhal's voice mannerisms were so like Lata Mangeshka's.

I could have lived without hearing the final "preview of my next single", but enjoyed the rest of the concert.

It seems to be on a loop wall-to-wall during the next two days at least on the BBC Red Button (Freeview 601) - 6am - 9pm and then some more on subsequent days ... http://www.locatetv.com/uk/listings/...ew#23-Jul-2015

Note that this prom passed by with hardly a murmur, the audience having not been insulted in advance.

This is only the 12th comment.

You are referring to Suzy Klein's comments re the Radio 1 Prom of course. As a forum Host and presumably a foot soldier of the Friends of Radio 3, shouldn't you send your considered comments to her?

I am not a "foot soldier" of the Friends of Radio 3, though I am a supporter. I'm not sure of the significance of the "sic". Ibiza town is indeed dragged down by excesses and is known as "Gomorra of the Med". Not my description, but one that is of great concern to the island's government.
