    South Carriage Drive parking

Haven't been to a Prom (ashamed to say) since circa 2006. I used to park my motorcycle for free at the above. Leaving by 10pm.
Does anyone know if this is still free? I'm a bit boracic.
    Thanks

Not sure about the location in the title, but I've never had to park as far away as that!

There are all sorts of useful bits of single yellow-line parking all around the RAH that are free to park on after 6.30pm till the following morning. Had to travel by car there on Thursday, and successfully arrived just before 6.30pm and slotted into one of my favourite spaces about 30 paces from one of the doors. Always useful to know on rainy evenings (which this turned out not to be, although it had been forecast as such).

Worth taking a virtual stroll around the hall on google maps using the 'streetview' setting - you can easily spot where the single yellows are, and they are all ok to park on after 6.30 in Westminster Zone A4 http://www.findfreeparking.co.uk/london-parking/

Actually, taking my own advice, I can see that in S Carriage Drive there are extensive parking bays which I think I can decipher on the signs are pay-and-display till 6.30 only - and a biker seems to have availed him or herself of the nearest spot to the RAH here

You should be alright one way or another if you aim for 6.30!

    .

EDIT: Of course, the above is a fat lot of good if you want to get in the queue before that time...

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
