That's what happened with my cards too. Being able to register card details on the previous day would save an enormous amount of time.

I had much trouble with internet payments on my credit card, including questioning how a potentially fraudulent payee had substituted for a cinema on verified by visa. Over a few months I held on in the tortuouse complaint process, questioning how my card company's verification system (for it wasn't from the cinema) had allowed this payee in. And I also pointed out what a pain verified by visa was, and how it was their responsibility, its their system.

The upshot, 2 years on, is that I see the verified by visa screen but I have been/ am never held up - I suspect the card company changed a setting for my account. And it was the same for the RaH when I eventually got in on Saturday. For me, the rest of it was a shambles, and for that the RaHall was responsible.

I'm not sure that that would help, TBH. As I mentioned in an earlier post, one of their Tweets said that

There are unfortunately compatibility issues with some browsers and devices.

which is an absolute nonsense in this day and age. There is a fair bit of handshaking takes place between systems during a credit card transaction. If, as I suspect, they have not bothered to invest in keeping their IT systems up-to-date (and let's face it, they had these problems in 2010 and still have them today) then pre-registering won't make any difference. The difficulty comes when they attempt to take payment which is a later stage in the process.
