    Proms 2015 rumours

With about 6 weeks to go until the shiny prospectus is issued, are there any juicy rumours to be had regarding Proms programming for this year?...

Yeah, don't spoil it. Buy the prospectus in a shop, more juicy by far

I did hear that Sir Simon Rattle and Die Berliner Philharmoniker were doing a George Lloyd symphony cycle...

Not sure if it's true or not...

I heard it was Malcolm Arnold, shared between the Berliners and the LSO, with Sir Simon sending tweets throughout the performances. All introdced by winners of Britain's Got Talent (or perhaps it was a Bake-Off competition).

That's the idea for a new reality TV show - Britains Got Brickies. We won't know until the final. Will it be built by Tracy-Trace from Southend or Kierangary from Romford?

I daresay bsp will be along with a few ideas soon enough.

Btw, the applications for the new director closed on 23 Feb - did anyone here apply?
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I considered it. But I don't think I could stand the criticism from the R3 Forum.

You won the lottery yet pg ?

I heard the Proms will be same old same old this year.
                        Loadsa Beethoven,Mahler and maybe Sibelius.
Some never to be heard again new works.
The odd neglected British symphony to try to appease....well...me

Would he need an extra piccolo player for this, or might he blow it himself?
I keep hitting the Escape key, but I'm still here!

I do enjoy BSP's assiduous detective work in ferretting out those nuggets of information as to what, and who (or should it be whom?) might be appearing at the Proms.

I did consider having a small bet on Sibelius' Kullervo Symphony for the First Night.

Well, you did write "not" twice there and I somehow suspect that this gives the game away; I just cannot quite see Frau Merkel getting behind that one, can you?
