    That's what makes me so sad about it because absent the CS the Strauss was a seriously fine performance with some wonderful playing. The Bantock for all its relative triviality was beautifully played and the Sibelius if it could have been a bit tauter was again superbly realised. Such a shame.

      I listened briefly to ASZ on the iPlayer until a minute or so after the organ intro when the blooper happened but it no longer seems to be there unless it was inaudible on my laptop's carp speakers. Was it edited out, I wonder?

        No, unfortunately; it comes just a few minutes later just after the end of the second main section!

          Hooray! Sorry Laurie, but I can't see any justification for editing the cosmic fart out; on a CD on the LPO live label, yes: but on Radio 3, no way Jose.
