Probably, I think, my mother was right, that it wasm't The Four Seasons? I also think that this work, should not be tampered with.

I thought the TV broadcast worked far better than the audio only version. I enjoyed it greatly.

watched the recording from bbc4 again .... still have a very favourable view of this 'experiment' though it was uneven in conception .....

the bbc edited out the apartheid comments from Kennedy but are they not also distancing themselves from Kennedy's experimental approach by making a late night prom of it ... why not mainstream with much more PR as a work by a major brit artist .... a more sensible approach to accessibility and the youth market?

I listened with divided attention to the live broadcast and have just watched our 'tape' of the BBC4 broadcast which my wife insisted on making when she missed it live. I enjoyed the tape much more than she did!

She was the one who decided she wanted pure unadulterated Vivaldi, whereas my partial bafflement with the R3 broadcast (e.g. not knowing which bits Kennedy was playing - was he really pretending to be an Arab??) was much improved with seeing the pictures. I should perhaps explain that Mrs LMP thinks I'm the classical-music purist, whereas she has much broader tastes...

Very enjoyable the once, though I have to say that I wouldn't rush to buy the CD....

...even to give to Mrs LMP...
I keep hitting the Escape key, but I'm still here!
