A Proms Channel
chatting with a neighbour over the fence about the bbc4 prom last night with the excellent Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, the thought ocurred that a Proms Channel along the lines of the televising of Parliament might be a welcome innovation in the media .... no comment, no presentation, fixed positions and repeat broadcasting .... eh?

Absolutely wonderful idea (plus including the late night proms of course) BUT - it's all down to money and the cameras are not left in situ, plus devoting a whole channel to a minority interest just once a year? .... so we shall have to dream on I fear. -
