As many are probably aware BBC4 doesn't start to broadcast in HD before next year.
However the current BBC4 proms are also broadcast on the Virgin red button channel - channel 994 - in HD.
So anyone wanting to watch the concerts in HD just needs to go to that channel. Not surround sound, but excellent picture quality.
