    Yes - wish we could have had it in HD (anyone know whether it was on the HD red button? see Bryn's post on the TV Proms thread - from tomorrow certainly, 'Proms on Four' is in HD on Freeview 303)

    I must say I found the time when the camera was on Pappano distracting - his facial movements are a pantomime unlike any I've ever seen. It looks as if he's miming eating an enormous invisible bowl of spaghetti without using his hands...

      I noticed that that camera was more or less fixed on him - it was certainly unmanned, lurking in the middle of the orchestra.

        I didn't notice that at all. I was only concerned with her ability to do complex bowing patterns...
