Barenboim out for a month

Norman Lebrecht reports that Daniel Barenboim is cancelling engagements for a month as a result of a back injury that he sustained last October

Given Maestro Barenboim's pivotal (ouch!) role in this year's Proms calendar, i wish him all the very best for a swift and effective recovery

I still think of the young DB when with Jackie du Pre but I suppose,like the rest of us, he must be getting on a bit.
