    Well said, Tevot. As far as I'm concerned, Anthèmes 2 has given me the more enjoyment than any work to this point in the 2012 Proms season. It was atmospheric, Michael Barenboim's playing was magnificent and the work had a clear and easily comprehended structure. Lyrical and luscious. A real winner!

      Enthusiastically seconded, Ed.! I couldn't listen to the whole of this concert live, but played the Boulez off the DG 20/21 disc late at night, pottering around just before bed... it proved a surprisingly apt nocturne.

        It sounded mesmerising in the hall, Jayne. The whole audience listened spell-bound. Agree with edashtav about MB's playing.
