Though I certainly agree (as HS does as well), IMO in such a case it were better to send a PM explaining the objections first.
If then it isn't edited out, one has time enough to make one's anger public.

If I may intervene, HS doesn'tbelieve in PMs and won't send or receive them as he thinks they are a 'club within a club'.

I find they are very useful as you obviously do also.

Henry Wood is still mentioned on every proms ticket and the first content page of every programme. The main reason for the increased usage of BBC Proms is the court case the BBC list regarding whether the Cathcart Spring Proms (in the RAH) were entitled to describe themselves as proms too

The BBC (Big Brother) up to its usual tricks again? How much longer can this organisation last in its present form? The banking fiasco may well be repeated within the BBC.

I appreciate your concern for my welfare, Sally - as I have equally for yours, but I really don't wish the message boarders to be provided with any further details as to my health, my decisions, or what you know of my personal life. So please keep this information, which you have gleaned in confidence from outside of these message boards, to yourself.

Quite clearly this message should have been sent privately

OR not at all? (I think saly has a sense of discretion).

                    Most certainly, Ariosto.

I have no intention of imparting anything private that I may know about you, HS, but anyone can discover that you neither receive or send PMs by trying to send you one. Therefore not confidential to me alone.

This is of course true. However, I would like to see Sir Henry's name restored to the BBC Proms banner in the RAH.
