Ms Cannon is in the rightmost fifth of the above photo
Priceless little body she was too!

        One notes (as at 15:15):

The following Proms have now sold out:

Prom 12 (Beethoven / Pierre Boulez) on 23 July.

Prom 18 (Beethoven No. 9) on 27 July.

Prom 20 (Wallace and Grommit Prom) on 29 July.

Prom 63 (Berliner Philharmoniker) on 30 August.

Are Wallace and Gromit taking over where the Labèque Sisters left off? Poulenc Concerto for 2 pianos, anyone?

Don't tell Charles Dutoit - plasticine is the very devil to get out of a toupée (I'm told )

In later years Oscar Homolka turned into a Leonid Brezhnez double (except Oscar retained both his eye-brows)

Which Proms are you trying for Caliban?
I loved Esma Cannon as well. Film4 had Sailor Beware on a few months ago, great fun.

I have... ahem!... access to most of the ones I want, but am going to try for the Hymnus Paradisi/Elgar 1 concert (you know who are away then! )

I've never been to the Proms , nor am I likely to in the near future ,but it's on my list of things to do when I retire. (or win the lottery).
This is my first year, my partner only lives an hour from central London by train and since we've been together this is the 1st time I found any Proms of any interest to me. But should living in Essex/Herts in 6 weeks time as I've got a London based job starting next month, so may be able to attend more in the future, finances and finding interesting concerts permitting.

Yes! Damn those Balmoral getways they insist on taking!

Got nice Stalls seats area L for the Howells-Elgar evening anyway

"Carry on Cabby" certainly took the sting out of the death-like progress through the RAH's virtual waiting-room

HRH Charlie, a local resident, will be joining us for a concert in the nearby exquisite Fairford Church in a couple of weeks.

Yes, congratulations from here, too. Seem to remember from the old boards that circumstances were not so good. Nice to see the corner has been turned.
