Correct. Proms start at 7 p.m. on Sundays, and if there is another prom later in the same evening. They also start at 7 p.m. if they are longer than usual and starting at 7.30 would make them end very late (this applies mainly to operas). They can start even earlier for the same reason.

I missed most of Blumine, because I thought the concert started at 7.30; like the one preceding it and tonight's Prom.

If by tonight's Prom you mean the one live at the RAH then you've got the wrong start time for that one too (or I hope so or I'll miss the last train home!).

As with all BBCNOW Proms it starts at 7pm.

Proms have frequently started at 7pm for many years, for a variety of practical reasons including those already mentioned. On weekdays this is not so good, but on Sundays in particular it's helpful for anyone attending who doesn't have the (mis)fortune (delete according to personal prejudice) to live within a shortish distance of Kensington. Public transport to any greater distance gives up very prematurely on a Sunday, and it's not much better on a Saturday either.

Actually it certainly used to be the case that trains to Peterborough (and certain points north) were better on a Sunday than a Saturday

I do sympathise as I got caught out as well but I remembered in time to catch Blumine. Thank heavens for the repeats and i-player!

Only once have I been caught out then attending. There seemed to be an awful lot of people rushing about at 6;58 then the penny dropped...

I forgot to say that BBC National Orchestra of Wales Proms start at 7 p.m. if they are going back to Cardiff that night; the idea being that if they get back after midnight they are eligible for overtime.
