      Prom 31

The Sound of Silence..... is this for everybody, or just me?

Quick fix - thanks iPlayer team for a swift response.

Last night's New Generation Artists programme is truncated as presently uploaded to the i\Player 'Listen Again' facility (less than 14 minutes of a 20 minute programme). The iPlayer Team have been alerted via https://iplayerhelp.external.bbc.co....id=latest_news . However, it would not hurt for others to also raise the issue via that link.

None of today's Radio 3 programmes have, as yet, been made available on the iPlayer 'Listen Again' facility.

"We're working on a technical issue that means some Radio 3 programmes and Proms broadcasts are not available on iPlayer and iPlayer Radio. We'll let you know when it's fixed."

Today's programmes up to and including the afternoon Prom repeat now available. No In Tune as yet.

[In tune had now just joined the others.]

Lots more now available, though, oddly, not the first half of the BPO Prom. The second half is there, Paloma Faith's Prom is there but the Symphonic Dances have yet to appear.

                  Now available.

It won't play me anything this afternoon - it's not even giving the familiar this content doesn't seem to be working message.

                    Any explanation?

                        I wouldn't know how!

[edit] Panic over - I restarted the computer, and it's fine now.

It's amazing how many technical problems can be cured by turning off and restarting. I thought my Panasonic DVD recorder had given up the ghost a few weeks ago and only after a lot of head-scratching plus a few choice words did I switch it off and back on again. The problem was instantly cured.

The pop out player appears to be broken. It just will not play, and one is forced to rely the main player. This since this afternoon.

Last Saturday's Live in Concert is truncated to around 1 hour 45 minutes (during the Beethoven Violin Concerto). I have used the horribly convoluted fault report system to alert them to the problem and request its resolution. However, nothing had yet appeared on the current issues page. Perhaps if others also use https://iplayerhelp.external.bbc.co.uk/tv/forms to raise the issue, it might push the matter further up their 'to do' list.

[Ah. I have had an email confirming that the recipient of my fault report has been able to replicate the fault and has forwarded the report to the iPlayer team for investigation. Fingers crossed.]

Considerable problems with the iPlayer's Listen Again facility for Radio 3 this morning. TtN has only just started to work, and Breakfast, for those who might want it, is still unavailable. For a while, no programmes were available to Listen Again. Hopefully all will be back to normal soon(CotW for Lord Berners excepted - that looks to have been blocked).

[Aha! Breakfast has just now joined TtN in the availability stakes.]
