It may be fixed - playing here:

Radio 3 Live in Concert 21 February (MacMillian and Gruber) seems to be LO only.

It was fine at 09:50 this morning via http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/player/b03vd8vp and still appears to be so. 322kbps ABR AAC-LC in Flash wrapper.

Thanks, Bryn. I looked for this page earlier and couldn't find it.

Please could you post the link to the page from which you got your link? I can't get links with bbc.co.uk/radio/player......

Hmm. The link I posted in message #19 was to the drop-down option on http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03vd8vp but you could try that instead. Other wise, try http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio3/programm...les/2014/02/21 and navigate to the concert on that.

Thanks, Bryn. Used the option. And many thanks for the earlier one, which produced the HD feed.

Spot on midnight, the somewhat delayed appearance of the Monday night's Live in Concert seemed to have been made. The iPlayer icon had at last been displayed next to the schedule listing for the programme. Hmm. A full 15 minutes then passed before the "This episode will be available soon" was removed from the programme's start page. Guess what. Even then it was made available in "LO" bandwidth mono version only.

[Ah well. A few minutes later it was eventually made available in "HI" bandwidth HD stereo sound too.]

[[Hmm. I now learn that that was not the end of the story. It seems that the problem of "LO" being substituted for "HI" was again the cast around 01:00. Usually by now the file used for the Listen Again facility would have been topped and tailed to remove the excess material. This is still not the case at the time of this message's posting.]]

This afternoon's Afternoon on 3 is streaming at 54/aac instead of 320/aac.

Have you reported the fault via the convoluted iPlayer "Contact Us" system?

[Everything on Radio 3 after last night's TtN appears to be restricted to low data rate, low sample rate, mono.]

I have indeed - it's a right PITA - and I've clicked several times on the report button. The sound quality is dreadful at this rate - there must be a problem at iplayer HQ as this evening's Journey into Space has yet to appear on 4 Extra. Why don't they announce "There's a problem" instead of keeping one in the dark?

I have now also reported the fault, and included a link to this thread for their information.

Excellent - at least some errors are now corrected. Thanks for that, iplayer team.

Indeed, and that includes tonight's Po3. Swift work there. Many thanks to whoever sorted it out.
