Most of yesterday's iPlayer problems have now been resolved, but Sunday morning's Trough the Night remains stuck in standard 128kbps rather than the HD Sound 320kbps. Fault reported via "Contact Us".

Last Sunday morning's TtN has now been made available in HD Sound via the iPlayer. Many thanks to Bill Nicholls, Through the Night Producer, for his assistance.

This is currently giving the message: "Sorry, this episode is not currently available on BBC iPlayer Radio".

Is there likely to be some reason for this, or should we be filling out a fault report?

On the odd other occasion when this has happened I've sent an email to the programme rather than the iPlayer team. "Not currently available" is not helpful; "will be available soon" or "not available due to copyright" or some other reason at least lets you know where you stand.

I'd be surprised if the producer would be able to put the programme on the iPlayer - if he is available to deal with emails, he may well only pass it on to the iPlayer people. I'd suggest following the process will eliminate that potential delay. Using the process does result in rectification, even if the response to the report is automated and leaves one in doubt it is being pursued....

There was a lengthy problem with an Aon3 programme and the producer chased it up; I think that certainly helped. That happened when programmes were available for just seven days, so occasionally a programme never appeared (or never appeared in the better quality sound).

Generally speaking, the iPlayer team are very helpful; errors in streaming quality, for example, are corrected more rapidly than in the past. When it does work, which is nearly all the time, it's an excellent facility, well worth, for me, the whole of the licence fee.

Nowt wrong with a two-pronged 'attack'. Use the iPlayer fault report system and email the EML team too.

I note that the EML listing currently shown for April 17th is actually that for next Sunday. Bit of a mess, what? I would certainly recommend contacting the EML teamn re. that, in addiition to the lack of availability of the Rousset programme

Yes, there is something odd about this Early Music Late. The Les Talens Lyriques programme only appeared on Friday. Before that, it was announced as Claire Lefilliâtre (soprano) and Vincent Dumestre, as Bryn says. When this sort of mixed up happens, as it did with the Early Music Show once, the production / technical team works hard but it seems the problem is beyond their remit. Although I managed to listen to it yesterday evening. Very odd.

There being no dedicated Early Music Late site with contact facility, I have emailed the Early Music Show team to raise the problem. I have also waded through the iPlayer contact system to alert the iPlayer team directly. Now it's a case of wait and see.

Thanks Bryn! I have been meaning to but have not had time.

There has been a change. Last Sunday's online schedule now lists the correct edition of Early Music Late, and the 'error' message has changed too. Unfortunately it has only changed to "This episode will be available soon", so we still have to wait and see if they complete the job.

I haven't been able to get anything on iPlayer, on the TV or the computer, for the last couple of days. Is it just me?

I do not access the iPlayer via TV but have had no problems recently via computers. All today's programmes to date are available here.
