Except Amazon staff who are being paid low wages in extraordinarily poor conditions of service - German workers are on strike over this.

Perhaps poor Winchester scholar / Ies:Coll:Cantab graduate James had a hand in it... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/ar...e-job-get.html

And I assumed that the railways were involved - don't the post office use trains anymore? Blame Bruce Reynolds and friends perhaps...

You have railway right up to the doors of Caliban Parva?

You shop where you like Cali - it's Oxo who's singing the praises of entrepreneurial capitalism (as opposed to the other sort, I guess )

Only since 1854... Paddington Station. I would hope they come on foot from the sorting office there to here. Call me old-fashioned.

Never mind all that, have you set the damn contraption up yet? Does it work? Should I get one? What are the pros and cons? What does Mrs Caliban think? Stop wasting time.

It certainly is. My unit (surprisingly small - like a somewhat oversized Rennie) is all plugged in and I have solved - with your help - the conundrum in the heading to this thread

                                But...

... there is another conundrum now.

To play music from my computer to the hifi I have to join the 'Airport Express' network I created to enable the unit and my computer to 'talk'.

But that appears to mean that I have to disconnect from my WiFi network

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Can I not do both at the same time?

I'm disappointed, because it had struck me that I could use the APE to listen to internet radio via iTunes. But not at the moment...
