OfCom consultation on Spectrum Strategy - Opportunity to moan about DAB?

This is another of a recent batch to emerge, published October 2nd, reviewing its strategy on spectrum management over the next 10 years.

Whilst it mentions the already published plans for rejigging and compressing the DTT/Freeview spectrum to make more room for 4G etc it makes no mention whatever of what it might do to improve spectrum usage efficiency in the VHF around 220 MHz where DAB is.

It would be reasonable to ask them what they intend to do about it? Options to change to DAB+ for example or a wholesale replan to use a completely new standard?? I intend to offer a response along those lines. Let's face it, we all believe that the current DAB could do with a leg up and one argument is that it is not an efficient spectrum user.

We've debated the DAB issues many times on these boards so now's your chance to have a go at OfCom and vent all that spleen!! Go here for the documents:

and for instructions on how to respond. The consultation closes on December 11th.
