No sound from You Tube

I have lost sound when I try to play anything on You Tube. The CD player in the desktop works fine and I can listen to iPlayer and Listen Live on the BBC website so I'm guessing it's not the speakers. I have tried on both the browsers I currently use, IE and Firefox. I'm not aware of having altered any settings.

Any suggestions gratefully received!

Double check that the volume bar on the Youtube screen itself, is not switched off.

Good suggestion. Mine has started to set itself to zero recently when I open any YouTube link. Never used to! (Apple OSX/Firefox).

Yup, same here.
But tip is good - it can be adjusted.

Does anybody know WHY it's happening more regularly recently?
