Does anyone know if the HD recordings I have made on a SKY HD can be saved to a computer?
If I make a DVD of them they come out as ordinary and not HD.

Google for "HDMI computer interface" or something along these lines. Lots of info there.
Remember though that there may very well be copyright and encryption issues.

If the box has a USB socket for an external disk, you may well be able to save to that as HD. If so, it will probably be encrypted so that it will only replay through your Sky box. There are a few TVs around that allow recording but have no internal disk - and then the encrypted files can only be replayed through that specific TV.Comment
