I'm now not certain whether the laptop has been suffering the same problem. I seldom use the Windows machine because it's on Vista and is monumentally slow.
I'm glad you saidthat ff. I only have one computer,Vista, and it is terribly slow. I've recently been told I must update my Classic BT emails and will lose them by the end of the month if I don't. Ichanged to Windows 8 browser yesterday but every change is met by 'Windows is NOT responding.

I have AVG as a virus remover, that's all. I now have about 10 days to change to the new BT Yahoo emails and hate every minute of all this. Carrier pigeons were faster than this

    I've never used Firefox.

I'm hoping this only refers to the webmail - I don't keep contact lists or emails there anyway. When I've tried to upgrade from the Classic, I don't see the links they say you should. I've failed several times, so hope that when it's automatically upgraded it'll just look a bit different when I check the spam and trash folders for misdirects . I'll do that again on June 2nd.

In contrast to yesterday when it took ages to update my browser it seems to to have gone overto the new emails with one click ff.

It will take this oldie a bit of getting used to though. Ihope my hundreds of pix are safw and well.

Just upgraded to FF 21. Hope this solves the 'embarrassing' problem: it certainly opened my homepage when restarting after the upgrade.

I do wish all these wretched companies like google et al (and now Flickr) who insist on revamping to 'improve the user experience' their websites would stop their meddling.

Why do they need to revamp it? Massaging egos of 20-year old wunderkind as far as I can see. Leave the bloody things alone, is my view. They are working perfectly well.

I've had no problem with it today after the upgrade, so I won't whinge about that one...
