Getting R3 and R4 on iTunes

Did I miss something? I thought it was possible to get R3 and R4 on iTunes, but just now I thought I'd pick up the news on R4, so wanted to suspend my listening to Finzi's Clarinet Concerto via iTunes, and go to radio mode. I'm using the revamped version - version 11.0. There are no radio channels showing, or anything that looks like a radio.

I really did think there were radio channels available in previous versions of iTunes.

Click on 'Music' and there's a button labeled 'Radio' next to Songs, Albums etc.

I'm still running iTunes 10 (10.6.3.25) - unwilling to "upgrade" to latest version until I assess exactly how it will mangle presentation of the "non tune" music.

For a couple of days now, I just get a hanging message box "getting playlist" whether in particular stations under playlist (or within a differently named playlist, where there is a radio station) , or in opening under genre in the Library heading.

Does anyone have a similar problem. A shame, because when it workd, it is reliable and a good sound.

Windows or OSX? I've just upgraded to 11.0.4 (with Snow Leopard) and everything is seemingly where it should be, loud and clear (that's the classical stations, including R3 - I didn't look for R4).
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

It's working fine for me as well. Again iTunes 11.0.4 on Windows, but I don't think the iTunes version should be a problem. I normally listen to the same stream using foobar2000 and that is working perfectly today. The playlist that it downloads offers two audio stream connections - and they both work today. (I think it is some sort of backup arrangement - if some of the sending kit breaks, the player will swap to the second stream.)

On an iPad I can get it to stream in Safari by going to http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/listen/live/r3_aaclca.pls - it just works. (Full quality from an iPad by plugging the USB lead from my DAC into a camera adapter plugged into the iPad connector - something else that just worked with no effort.) On a PC it asks me whether I want to save it or open it. I don't have a MAC but maybe it would just play it like the iPad?
