    Is this board allergic to iPads?

    I frequently have problems when trying to post or send PMs from my iPad to this board. The response is very slow, and often things just hang. Sometimes things just hang, and sometimes they can be kicked back into life by a refresh. Sometimes duplicate, triplicate, or worse posts result.

    I have wondered if this could be due to my ISP (TalkTalk), but now I'm wondering if some of the problem is with the forum software itself. Things have been slow and problematic today, but other sites are working fine and fast. I tried restarting my router, but no significant difference. There are other specific problems using my iPad. I have not been able to delete duplicate messages on this board using the iPad.

    I'm not using an iPad but I too have noticed that the board is VERY slow today.
    I've been 'disconnected several times in the past 45 minutes.

      I have always felt this site is slower than many - and that's using both an Imac and Macbook. At times things do hang noticeably, such that you want to give the computer a slap (rather as my father used to do to the TV in about 1960). I've resisted it so far.

          I use a Windoze 7 machine and have a fairly fast broadband connection but I too have found this forum very slow to load of late.

            I don't find too much trouble (maybe I'm privileged!) but I'll ask. Perhaps it's to do with the overload on our server? We have been moved once but we have been exceeding our bandwidth lately.

            Also, not sure about our upgrades vis-à-vis mobiles/iPads.
            It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
