    Extracting audio from DVD-As

Does anyone have any good recommendations, preferably free or cheap, for extracting audio channels from DVD-As? I only need 2 channel sound. I could perhaps use the regular DVD audio layer (for playing on regular DVD players), but either way I'd still need to rip it from the DVD-A. I have several DVD-As which I can play on my SACD player, but I'd like to have the audio extracted for operational reasons, and so I can stream to my Squeezebox, or to put on CD. Currently I'm listening to one of Charpentier - Te Deum (so that's where the EU theme comes from) and Midnight Mass on Naxos. I'd particularly like to extract the Midnight Mass, though it might be easier to buy a CD copy or borrow one from a CD library, which is one of my other strategies.

Dave, it might be worth trying "DVD Audio Extractor". It has versions for Windows and Macs and has a 30 day unrestricted trial period, though I have no personal experience of the programme.

I use this software regularly to get the audio files from DVD-Vs for streaming. It's quick and easy. There's also DVD-Audio Explorer 2008, equally simple, for DVD-A file extraction.

I also have used DVD-Audio Explorer 2008 on the only DVD-A that I have. It seemed to work perfectly well.
