Excellent - thanks for letting us know. Now I wish I hadn't deleted my Hyperion playlists!

I plan to spend the remainder of the evening listening to Alice Coote.

I have the cheap subscription but this is included. I have the desktop player. I know how to add tracks to 'musique locale', but this won't make them playable offline automatically. They need to 'download' there, right? Sometimes, after either playing or 'downloading' the track (i.e. playing it on pause until the loading bar is complete), it won't appear in 'musique locale', even if I've added it. And sometimes 'musique locale' doesn't appear as an option when I try to add tracks?!

      Any help much appreciated.
Create a playlist of the CD you want to play offline.

Then click on the gear icon next to the CD cover icon and ajouter-> musique locale (en FLAC).

Look in the 1st left column and to the right of Musique Locale you should see a little icon that shows outstanding tracks to be downloaded. Clicking on musicque locale there should be a telechargements tab where you can see the progress of the offline download of your selected playlist.

Thanks, Neil. I eventually worked this out by trial and error, but appreciate your thoughtfulness in responding so fully!

Incidentally, I've noticed a bug in Qobuz, whereby sometimes the desktop player, if closed down unexpectedly, won't restart. I keep getting an error message "Qobuz Desktop est déjà ouvert mais ne répond pas..." and the only way around this is either to listen 'in browser' or to go into the Task Manager and close down the .exe file from running. A rather tiresome bug.

Does anyone else have this happen to them?

Having downloaded the Peter Hurford Bach organ music at a bargain price I have now chanced upon some duff files. Loud clicks followed by distorted sound. For exanple the WMA files for Christ ist erstanden, BWV 746 & Aus der tiefe rufe ich, BWV 745. There are probably others but I haven't played them all yet. Has anyone else had the same problem?

Not with the Hurford Bach, as I didn't get those. Qobuz will replace quickly with another product (or refund). I did try downloading other file formats of the couple of Chopin/Magaloff duff flacs, but wma, wav and alac were similarly afflicted, but it's still worth trying alternatives with fingers crossed for the Hurfords.

Thanks for the advice PJPJ. I downloaded the FLAC's and they seem to be fine. Crossed fingers must have worked. All I need now is liner notes but that's probably expecting too much with Decca.

If anyone downloads duff files I hope they report it to Qobuz. I don't know whether they rip the files themselves or the music files are received from the record companies. Either way it seems there is a problem which needs to be addressed.

I's imagine they receive the files from the record companies - they have high resolution downloads that aren't available on SACD, so I assume these come from the record companies. Also quite a few of the new releases have the liner notes, again I'd expect those to be provided by the record companies.

Yesterday, I decided to treat myself to two Immerseel recordings, the new Debussy and a previous release of Poulenc concertos and the Suite Francaise, also very positively reviewed. The Debussy came with a full pdf booklet, though the Poulenc didn't. An email to Zig-Zag brought a swift response today, with the Poulenc's booklet attached.

Hyperion seems to have been withdrawn from Qobuz again.

Infuriating, as I usually use Qobuz to road-test albums I want to buy on CD. I had Thea King playing Mozart's Clarinet Concerto, Mackerras's second Beethoven cycle and The Florestan Trio in Beethoven in a playlist.

The only good thing is being forced to find other available versions to listen to (Trio Zimmerman in the Beethoven String Trios...quite a find!)

I haven't used the Qobuz streaming service, but they do have some good (outstanding) download offers from time to time (mentioned in the Bargains thread). And now there is no premium for high bit rate formats (FLAC, etc) - no mp3 version is offered. I didn't try getting their customer service to arrange for me, as a UK customer to purchase / download (which I think others may have found succesful). Instead I paid a modest fee for a program "Easy-Hide-IP" - ".com" . Qobuz often says the download is not available in the UK. The program enables me to collect via a Swiss Server and purchase/download (seems to be the one that does the trick - annoyingly there isn't a french one to connect with). There may be free programs like this, for the IT savvy but I have found no problems using Easy-Hide-IP.

                          Qobuz downloads taking ages!

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Last week, Bryn pointed out a good deal on 3 Robert Craft 1950s Webern CDs on Qobuz. I duly bought them and downloaded all 3 CDs in minutes. Transferred to my iPod and was listening on the beach within a couple of hours.

The other day, Stunsworth pointed out a great deal on Petrenko's Naxos DSCH symphonies. Duly bought them, but when I try to download these recordings, it gives an estimated time of 2 days 15 hours, and each time my internet connection fails or Turkey runs out of electricity and the whole shebang goes down.

Anyone know why the first lot downloaded in no time, but the Petrenko won't?

I haven't changed my set up or internet provider, etc.

Sorry, I cannot suggest why you should be having this problem. I downloaded the set in a matter of a few minutes.

I will come back on my mention of the availability of Hat Art Morton Feldman issues at reasonable prices at QOBUZ. I must warn that at least where the 320kbps mp3s streams of SQ2 are concerned, 'CD3' track 3 and 'CD4' track 3 have severe transfer problems (outbursts of major digital errors which disrupt the music). I will email QOBUZ to alert the to the problem. I do not intend to purchase the lossless option, so cannot either confirm or deny whether the problem also extends to them.

Does your ISP have a download limit? If so may you have reached it?

I downloaded the set at the weekend without any problems.

I'm not sure if there's a download limit. That could be the reason. I'll check.
