This is so estoric that I doubt it'll interest many others.
I have now succeeded in getting a whole bunch of systems working with DAWs - for which I blame/thank RB and MrGG - formerly of this place.
I can bounce out sounds to an audio file with Logic, and I can also put Logic into a loop and play along with it adjusting various things on patches, or playing along with a virtual keyboard. I suspect I could also connect up (Bluetooth perhaps) or direct midi, a real keyboard for even more fun.
What I've not been able to do so far is to record this latter style of "jamming" to a file, but I feel sure there must be a way. It'd be great to be able to do that.
I don't really want to have to connect an external recorder, and most of the screen recorders I've tried don't work on an iMac. I think it should be possible to bounce "live" to another track in Logic. I have other DAWs too - and in the limit if another one will do this and Logic won't, then I might switch, but I'd like to try to get Logic to do this.
