    Privacy issues - spreadsheets etc.

If I make a spreadsheet using Open Office, as far as I can see it does not make a file containing any personal data, such as my IP address, name, Dob etc.

However if I then convert that file to Microsoft Office format, there is the possibility that one of MS's programs will then integrate the file data with other personal data.
I am sure this happens sometimes, and also that data leaks can occur because some of MS's programs store history and other data and don't always erase it when files are saved.

Also, since I now find I can open MS Office files in Apple's Numbers program, there is the further possibility that that program, or Apple's "helpful" ecosystem, will append personal data to the data which is stored in the spreadsheet file.

Does anyone know or have a view on this?
