imgur - does it still work?

Has something changed recently with imgur?

I used to be able to post images there, and get links for use in web pages and mail. Now it seems to be doing something different.

I've not used it for a couple of months, but I thought it was OK before that.

I wonder if it doesn't work if one's browser has an ad-blocker. I have been getting messages about my images being uploaded, but Hidden, and haven't found a way to get these to show on the site.
I got fed up with adverts in YouTube videos a little while back, and have been really quite ruthless about not letting adverts show up - despite pleas to unblock by several sites.

I just succeeded, but had to reset the email verification.

As I mentioned it does seem to work again now, but one uncertainty is what it will actually show.
There are several possible links - and in the past I've generally checked how images show up in sites - such as this one. Sometimes that may not work - and links to my imgur page now seem to show up instead - which I don't consider particularly desirable.
It may depend on the context, and where the links are used.
