For years I've noticed an odd thing about Macos, and not been able to fix it in recent years and recent versions of Macos.
Basically the icon for the Applications folder, instead of being something obvious - like a letter A, now takes on the icon of the first item alphabetically in the Applications folder.
I have tried to fix this, and make a permanent icon which will show the Applications folder when it appears in the dock, but I have not succeeded. It's a minor irritation, but an irritation nevertheless.
At one point the icon changed to the icon for the App Store - which at least looks like a letter A, but now my system is picking up other icons, such as Affinity Designer which doesn't have anything like an "A".
If anyone else has noticed this, and has fixed it, I'd be glad to know how.
