    Latest response:

If you are experiencing difficulties accessing Qobuz :

    For Windows :
you have to delete the :
    - C:\Using YOUR PROFILE AppData Roaming Qobuz
    - C:\Users Your ProfileAppDataLocal Qobuz
    - Uninstall the application
    - Reinstall the application from the last proposed version

    For Mac :
    --------------------------------
    - Install the "appcleaner" application: https://freemacsoft.net/appcleaner/
    - Uninstall the Qobuz application with "AppCleaner".
    - delete the directory: /Users/YOUR PROFILE/Library/Application Support/Qobuz
    - Reinstall the application from the last proposed version
    --------------------------------

However, we inform you that you will lose the local music (cache and imported music) and the application settings. You will not lose your playlists and favorite[sic] music/artists.
We remind you that you can also use the WebPlayer with Chrome (with the latest version).

Kept out of this so far as I don't use the Qobuz app., but.... sorry to be boring and predictable but as per usual the Qobuz/Audirvana function and user interface is working perfectly. All down to good design really, especially where continuity and stability are concerned. Any Audirvana upgrades offered are evolutionary not revolutionary, always voluntary, and clearly explained.

I love searching for new and unfamiliar music and recordings or seeking out comparisons, I find it much more exciting than a shelf tour, and as I'm addicted to the excitement of New Releases, Qobuz Discovery Fridays are a highlight of my week....

Browsing Record Shops, then scouring HMV Japan and waiting for Parcelforce, now combing Qobuz......a natural evolution in many ways....

(So When I do buy the physical discs e.g. the new COE/Harnoncourt Schubert, it seems a wonderful, luxurious treat! But without Qobuz, probably wouldn't gamble on it....)

A further cryptic messge from a QOBUZ rep. on the "Qobuz Issue" forum:

        "Issue find, hotfix in progress."

Hopefully a case of for "find", read "found". Fingers crossed.

I received the upgrade (Mac OS 10.12.6) and the only thing I noticed was it asked me if I wanted to retain the imported stuff, I said no because there was only one CD on that list anyway, and everything else works fine. Since I'm here, I mentioned a few days ago (which received no responses, maybe nobody noticed!) that it also upgraded my account to Studio without my asking it to. I checked at the Qobuz website and my subscription fee hadn't changed, so I thought OK, I can live with this, and actually I am quite enjoying the improvement.

Jayne your first paragraph sounds like the Qobus equivalent of living in Tier 1!

...... I count not myself to have apprehended....
You've lost me there, sorry.....no medium software alerts (or any alerts) around here musically....

Same can't be said for Liverpool IRL sadly.
Anyway why do people have such difficulty spelling Qobuz after all this time? I think I even saw Quoboz recently....

Well given fast stable internet, I honestly do think its good design rather than luck, thanks to Damien Plisson at audirvana....its just very consistent.
When I initially used the Q webplayer straight off of the site I did find occasional discontinuities, navigation less elegant, & it was slower as well...

Like anyone else, I soon go off something if its not user-friendly....

Ah but you should have used the desktop app for windows or Mac which has many more customisable features, not the web player!

Having said that, I've taken the (enforced) opportunity to "road test" (appalling expression!) Audirvana and have so far been impressed with the interface, though I'm not noticing any notable improvement in sound quality over and above the Qobuz desktop app. Of course, you don't get access to the "booklets" on Audirvana so one has to keep a tab open on the browser for Qobuz in order to get the additional recording documentation.

I have actually just received a reply to my original help request from the support team at Qobuz. Unhelpfully, the tenor of the response suggests that Qobuz are themselves unaware of the issue as they've asked me to provide screenshots of the error messages I'm receiving (there aren't any; it just crashes) as well as the standard queries as to version and OS (all of which I provided on the submission form already ).

The desktop app is absolutely fine, runs smoothly and enables setting up of playlists, favourites, preferred audio output, buffer size and plenty more, and looks not unattractive. I wonder how it might be that a different app would be different in sound quality, for a given internet connection and audio interface, I'd be interested to know the answer to that if anyone knows.

When did you update? I think they may have been working on it through the day. When I updated again after reverting to an earlier version, things improved. I got back the search facility and though I lost everything from my offline library, all my purchases were still in the "PURCHASES" directory and they get duplicated in the "OFFLINE LIBRARY" if I download them again. Otherwise, I can just play them from the "PURCHASES" directory.

This thread gets curiouser and curiouser....

One of the main attractions of Audirvana+ for me was and is..... precisely how easily accessible the booklets were and are. You simply hit the open book icon at topright of the tracklist.
This was already the case when I initially signed up for Qobuz HiFi in 2016 (lossless only then for streaming, hi-res came in later and that is what is known today as "Studio" - which is now the only Streaming Plan they do, with the annual or monthly option).

So not sure how the Audirvana you are trialling omits booklets. Oh and, I never bothered with the Q-desktop because I used Audirvana early on and was completely happy with it. And of course you do have user adjustments available in Audirvana e.g. integer mode: warmer or more analytical as you please.

With software player SQ, I've noticed differences between players (e.g. JRiver, iTunes, etc)......it can only inhere in design surely, just as it does in CD transports....but this is just a subjective impression by ear, as ever.

No, you're right, they are there. I was just playing albums for which booklets aren't provided. However, they don't pop out as separate pdfs which I find a particularly useful feature in Qobuz, especially in the android app, with the "liquid" reading mode that's now being rolled out by Adobe.

Of course, integer mode is only available on Macs. For PCs you have to choose whether to use Wasapi or the DAC's own proprietary software, which is what I continue to do.
