Sampletank - who uses it?

I am curious to know who uses Sampletank. Is this a virtual library which is used largely by professionals - in the music and film industry? It seems too expensive for amateurs.

Other virtual instrument and VI libraries exist in a number of different forms, and will work with different DAWs, so Sampletank seems like an expensive outlier.

I'm not sure that coronavirus requires that kind of sample! Yet - at any rate, though I thought I'd seen an article about "poop" recently.
