Do any DAWs easily support MS (mid-side) recording with a matrix function? For example, it should be possible to use a ribbon mic (figure of 8 polar response) with a cardiod mic. to get stereo. It seems clear that it should be possible to do this with recorded tracks - even in a tool like Audacity, but it could be quite a faff to work out.
Since DAWs (and also mixing desks) can do this sort of channel manipulation “live” - in real time - are there any which make it very easy - maybe they all do?
