Qobuz lower streaming cost, now CD quality or better only

Qobuz in the U.K. now have a single streaming subscription - Studio Premier.

The cost is £14.99 a month for both CD quality and high resolution streaming. There’s a month’s free trial...

Discover Qobuz and listen in Hi-Res without limits to more than 100 million tracks - 1 month free trial with no strings attached.

I believe there’s an annual option for the price of 10 months, so even cheaper.

As yet that doesn’t apply to anyone with a French subscription. Apparently that’s due to rights issues, but it’s coming.

Thanks for highlighting this on a dedicated thread - I mentioned it yesterday on the Listening thread, noting that those of us already on it get the new price right away... so its all good!

Its an excellent service especially, as I've often said, on Audirvana. I hope Q aren't making life hard for themselves having to compete with Amazon etc....
    But tempora mutantur......as ever....

Does this now mean that people with very basic subscriptions have had them jacked up again?

I use it with Roon and HQPlayer, and agree it’s an excellent service. I’m currently with Qobuz France and if they’ve not implemented the same option in a month or so I’ll see if I can get my Sublime + subscription moved over to the U.K.

I don’t know, however the link above only shows the one option.

I'm in the same situation (though with a HiFi subscription). I read somewhere that Qobuz France hasn't yet changed its pricing structure because of an issue with the record labels, but they are intending to make the change.

A couple of years ago (before I subscribed) I asked Qobuz if my account could be changed to a UK account and they then said it wasn't possible, but that was then.

As it happens I created a separate UK account a while back because the downloads I was then interested in were cheaper for UK customers. So I might well subscribe on my UK account and cancel the French subscription.

There will be no mp3 streaming plan in the future. I can't remember the cost of the mp3 only plan being "jacked up" in the recent past. I thought it was roughly comparable to the cost of Spotify.

It's a tremendous reduction but I found in my short time with Q that it was not easy to use, perhaps it gets simpler with practice?

                  I take that back.

I've just received a notification of my latest monthly subscription for Qobuz France and it has decreased from 19.99 Euro to 15.99 Euro (£14.02). So I guess that the French subscriptions are being moved to the new pricing structure when a new payment is due.

There seems to be just 2 options now. Navigating from the Q home page to streaming options shows Studio Premier and Sublime+ .

I failed to read yesterday's email for QOBUZ re this change. Reading this thread got me to thinking I made a mistake opting to pay annually. My renewal was not due until June. Turns out they have taken that all into consideration. Just registered for the new rate and low and behold, the charge for the next 12 months came down to £81.72.
