    Network providers

My iPad Pro seems to have an inbuilt SIM card.

    The possible providers are:

    EE
    AlwaysOnLine
    GigSky
    Truphone

I have never actually bothered with this before. The only provider I'm aware of is EE.

I don't really want to get hooked into a monthly subscription plan with yet another provider, but for expediency it might be useful to link into one of these.

Currently I do have an old iPad which is barely usable - and getting worse - with a cheap subscription from 3. Sometime it would good to have a better service, or a short term one - at a modest cost obviously - which would work with my iPad Pro.

    Hi Dave,
I guess this would be an e-sim (embedded sim) that you can sign up for service rather than buying a physical sim from a carrier. If it was me I would be inclined to transfer the existing 3 sim to the iPad Pro and see how you get on with it. Get it cut down to size by a phone shop if it's the wrong size. I bought an iPad Mini 2 in 2014. When the contract ran out two years later, I continued with a 30GB per month contact at £20. However at the start of this year, I cancelled the contract. Now if I need to use it out and about, I can just tether it to my Android phone. It means carrying two devices, though.
    Regards
    Dave

Trimming the SIM card down sounds like a good idea - if that's possible. I thought I might have to ask 3 for a new one, but keeping the existing contract and SIM might be better. I don't know whether services are cheaper now.
