Iplayer No Longer Available for Samsung

Just today as I tuned into iplayer, I had a message come up on my 3 year old Samsung TV/Samsung settopbox that after 6.12.19 iplayer will no longer be available on my system. My system was only bought Dec2016 [and there are 2017 models on the list]
On going to the advised bbc.in/devicehelp there is a long long list of Samsung devices that are in this category, but no explaination as to WHY?

There are many other hits for "Samsung BBC iPlayer" via Google. I does not look good.
