Ah, that might explain some things.
When you posted a screen shot of the LMS - Settings - Basic Settings - Media Folder browse there was "Public" showing under "mnt". (The other two folders showing under "mnt" are piCorePlayer generated folders.)
This might well have been the "Public" share on your NAS.
If you click on the "+" alongside "Public" it should expand to show its subfolders and (if I understand you correctly) one of those should be your "Music" folder which you could select.
Can you please check this before diving further into matters.
