Ah. I am not an Apple fan. Others here are and may be able to offer more specific advice. However, it must be clearly understood that the commonly held view that Apple products are safe from malware is quite false. they are less vulnerable and less often targetted than Microsoft O/S devices but they can still suffer cyber-attacks. It is worth scanning with anti-malware apps such as the free version of Malwarebytes (just an example - others are avaiable).

Insert 'considerably' in front of 'less' would make your comment much more accurate. Most current Apple scams are phishing related and as such rely on the wetware between the ears for success.

The same applies to successful cyber-attacks on Windows 10 systems. Viruses, as such, are far less prevalent these days than a decade ago. It's worms and phishing which all need to guard against. The relative unpopularity of Macs makes then less attractive targets, notwithstanding their more robust Unix-derived operating system.

Try these steps

Set your device to Airplane Mode.
Delete your Safari data by going to Settings, then Safari, then Clear History and Website Data.
Open Safari and exit Airplane Mode.
